Drystone is built so that this policy can be short.
What we collect Nothing. Drystone has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no servers operated by us. We do not collect, receive, store, sell, or share any personal data. The app's App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected" because there is nothing to collect.
What stays on your device Your chats (encrypted with AES-256; the key never leaves your device's Keychain), any documents you attach (indexed on-device), downloaded AI models, and your settings. Deleting the app deletes all of it. The in-app "Erase everything" control does the same without deleting the app.
Network connections the app can make Exactly one kind, always user-initiated: downloading AI models and searching the public model catalog at huggingface.co (Hugging Face, Inc.), over HTTPS. Like any website you visit, Hugging Face's servers see standard connection information (such as your IP address and the file requested). We receive nothing. The in-app Offline Lock blocks even these requests; AI answers are generated locally and never use the network.
On-device Apple services Dictation uses Apple's on-device speech recognition (audio is processed on your iPhone and not sent to Apple by Drystone). Face ID unlock is handled entirely by iOS; Drystone never sees biometric data. Purchases, if offered in future, are processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
Children Drystone runs unmoderated open-source AI models and is rated 17+. It is not directed at children.
Changes If a future feature ever requires collecting anything, we will update this policy and the App Store label first, and the feature will be opt-in.
